At True North Physio, the safety and well-being of our clients are our top priority. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where individuals can receive physiotherapy services with confidence.
Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to all True North Physio staff, including physiotherapists, assistants, and volunteers who work with clients.
Our Safeguarding Principles
Client-Centered Approach: We always act in the best interests of our clients.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse: We do not tolerate any form of harm, neglect, or exploitation.
Safe & Trained Staff: All staff undergo appropriate training and background checks.
Clear Reporting Procedures: We take all concerns seriously and follow clear procedures for reporting any safeguarding issues.
Safe Recruitment & Training
All True North Physio staff are subject to reference checks and appropriate background checks. Staff receive safeguarding training and are aware of their responsibilities in keeping clients safe.
Code of Conduct
All staff must:
Treat clients with respect and fairness.
Create a safe and positive environment.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
Never engage in inappropriate physical contact or behavior.
Follow safeguarding reporting procedures if they have concerns about a client's welfare.
Reporting Concerns
If any staff member, client, or guardian has a safeguarding concern, they should report it immediately to:

If necessary, we will escalate concerns to the relevant local safeguarding authorities.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
All safeguarding concerns are handled with confidentiality and in line with data protection laws. Information is only shared with relevant professionals when necessary for a client's safety.

This policy is reviewed annually to ensure it remains up to date and effective.
